The greatest gift of therapy is that it can offer us the opportunity to become who we truly are.
Therapy is often the only hour of the week that we allow ourselves to truly take up space, sense into our bodies, sit with our feelings, let everything out no matter how messy it sounds, acknowledge how we were hurt, ask ourselves what we needed, imagine how things could be different, disentangle our negative self-talk, explore our destructive patterns, practice offering ourselves compassion, challenge ourselves to grow, and/or allow ourselves to just be.
My goal, as a therapist, is to ensure my clients feel safe, understood, and supported as we compassionately and collaboratively attend to their pain and work toward their goals. I believe therapy can provide a unique opportunity to understand and heal from the destructive relationship dynamics, unresolved trauma, inadequate attachment experiences, and negative core beliefs that may be holding people back in their life today.
